BEAVER STADIUM.
One of the most exciting things Penn State students experience their freshmen year is the student section at Beaver Stadium on game day. Home games are insane. State College more than doubles its population. Therefore, transportation to the stadium could get tricky. Not for Penn State freshmen, however. They are a five minute walk from Beaver Stadium. Not only does this mean that they can avoid the crazy transportation, like the White Loop, on Game Day, but they can also be apart of all the exciting families walking towards Beaver Stadium. Seeing all the stoked fans walking from downtown towards the stadium is a thrilling experience. |
BRYCE JORDAN CENTER.
The BJC is directly across Beaver Stadium It holds events such as concerts, basketball games, and Penn State's most famous event-- THON. Being a freshmen experiencing THON for the first time, it is convenient being able to walk to East Halls for a quick power nap after a 24 hour stretch before the final four hours. |

Recently opening on October 11th, 2013, Pegula Ice Arena is one of the most recent additions to Penn State's buildings that host entertainment. The Penn State hockey team plays their home games here, which recently became Division I in 2010. Penn State hockey is becoming a new and exciting aspect of Penn State. In fact, people are starting to call Happy Valley "Hockey Valley". It is amazing for students to be able to be in such close access to this exciting facility. Pegula Ice Arena also opens skating to the public. |
